Microneedling Benefits

MICRONEEDLING SURGICAL SCARS
Microneedling surgical scars is a great option for many patients. Surgical scars are an unpleasant visual reminder of a procedure that was necessary or elective. They are the result of a planned incision, but doctors cannot always control how much scarring takes place. The positive aspect of surgical scars is that they are the body’s natural response to damage and a sure sign of healing. A scar’s appearance is due to the buildup of collagen fibers, known as fibroblasts, that are generated to protect and heal the damaged skin. The type of scar tissue that develops after a surgery is for the most part based on genetics. While some patients are prone to experience raised or hypertrophic scars, others may be prone to flatter, discolored scars.
Most scars are likely to fade over time, but many procedures and treatments are available to speed up healing a bit and reduce a scar’s appearance.
One such treatment is microneedling. The process of a microneedling treatment involves a small handheld device that delivers many exceedingly small, fine needles into the affected skin. The depth of the needles’ penetration into the scar is adjusted according to the severity and size of the scar.
The impact of the needles creates tiny wounds in the skin that stimulate the formation of additional collagen. The typical patient will experience light (almost imperceptible) bleeding, redness, and swelling immediately after the microneedling procedure.
The skin, however, usually heals very quickly and is back to a normal appearance within two to three days. Most patients trying to reduce the appearance of scarring require a series of microneedling treatments; the exact number of treatments is, of course, dependent upon the severity of the surgical scar. Microneedling surgical scars has been proven to provide positive results. Although no method currently exists to completely erase surgical scars, microneedling most certainly improves the tone and texture of the scarred area.

MICRONEEDLING STRETCH MARKS
Microneedling stretch marks is an excellent option for many suffering from stretch marks. Stretch marks are an extremely common issue for both adult men and women. They appear as streaky lines of thinned skin, and are most often found on the breasts, abdomen, hips, and thighs. Stretch marks may appear due to the rapid hormonal changes and growth associated with puberty, during pregnancy, or following weight gains or losses. While there is no absolute cure for stretch marks, microneedling has been shown to drastically reduce the visibility of these dreaded skin flaws. So, what exactly is microneedling? The technique involves a series of exceedingly small needles that are passed over the skin. This process creates micro-injuries which trigger new collagen and elastin synthesis as the skin begins to naturally repair itself. The appearance of stretch marks will diminish as this reconstruction and healing occur. Microneedling stretch marks helps to promote the regeneration of the skin covering the marks, thus restoring the original contours of the surface. Skin will have a smoother, more even appearance. A typical microneedling session to address stretch marks begins with the application of a numbing cream and a lubricating gel to the stretch marks before starting the microneedling process. This is to ensure patient comfort and to allow the tiny needles to glide over the skin easily.nNext, the microneedling device is gently pressed into the skin and glided over the stretch marks for a few minutes. Redness may occur at this point, but it is a sign that the needles are effectively penetrating the skin to stimulate collagen production and skin cell turnover. At the end of the brief procedure, a cream is applied to the treated area to encourage wound healing and repair. Depending on the number of areas to be treated, the procedure can take from 15 to 60 minutes from start to finish. Most patients find the process to be painless and experience minimal discomfort. A bit of redness is to be expected in the days following the microneedling session. This redness eventually subsides, and the skin tone of the treated area appears more even. Multiple sessions, usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart, are often required to achieve the desired results, but most patients find the investment very worthwhile. Microneedling stretch marks has been proven to provide some amazing and dramatic results, but the results vary. Although no method currently exists to completely repair stretch marks, microneedling most definitely lightens their appearance, making them virtually invisible. |
MICRONEEDLING ENLARGED PORES
Microneedling enlarged pores can be greatly beneficial for many clients. WHAT ARE ENLARGED PORES? Pores are tiny openings at the skin’s surface where the hair follicle meets the skin. There is a tiny tube that goes through the layers of skin where the hair follicle exists. On either side of the follicle there are sebaceous glands that produce sebum, a waxy substance meant to naturally hydrate and protect the skin. Pores produce sebum or release sweat. These openings can become clogged causing the appearance of large pores. The accumulation of makeup, dirt, debris, bacteria, or dead skin cells can cause clogged pores and inflammation of the surrounding skin. Enlarged pores can create an uneven skin texture. WHO DEVELOPS ENLARGED PORES? Genetics often play a role in the development of enlarged pores. Oily or combination skin is prone to larger pores and more active oil glands. These types of skin produce excess sebum causing the oil to collect in the pore. When the pores become clogged, they stretch and appear larger in size. Enlarged pores are more noticeable on the nose, cheeks, and chin. These areas tend to become more clogged in those who have oily skin. Environmental factors, sun exposure and age can also be a factor. Over time the skin produces less collagen and loses elasticity in the skin surrounding the pores. Prolonged sun exposure can sap the skin of moisture, collagen and elastin causing the skin tissue to sag. ARE ENLARGED PORES HARMFUL? Enlarged pores are not harmful but can be unsightly. Clogged pores can lead to pimples or acne. Acne can cause scarring. The skin’s appearance can be noticeably altered by enlarged pores causing the skin to seem dull and uneven. Enlarged pores are often caused by loss of collagen and elastin the building blocks of the skin. Healthy skin boosts confidence in one’s appearance. HOW ARE ENLARGED PORES TREATED? Keeping the pores clean and unclogged is a step toward skin health. Daily cleansing and at home remedies such as exfoliants and masks can help unclog pores. Chemical peels and Microdermabrasion remove debris from the skin refining texture. Laser skin resurfacing or Fraxel can treat enlarged pores but may cause hyperpigmentation. Botox inserted superficially into the skin (not the muscle) can create tighter skin and reduce appearance of large pores. Photodynamic therapy, a light activated solution, improves the size of the oil glands. Microneedling seems to be one of the most successful and longest lasting treatments for enlarged pores. |

I went to Chezza for scar relaxation and the results were better than could be expected. Fifteen years ago I got my bellybutton pierced and have since removed it. I was left with an unsightly scar, three treatments from Chezza have this scar almost unnoticeable. The other scar I had treated was a bacon grease scar on my lower abdomen. This scar was about a year old and I have received three treatments on it as well. I believe with another treatment it will be close to gone. Thank you Chezza!!! You are amazing! Can't wait to return for more services.

WHY IS MICRONEEDLING ENLARGED PORES A GREAT TREATMENT?
Microneedling is a safe and effective method for reducing the appearance of enlarged pores. The micro injuries to the skin caused by microneedling trigger skin’s own wound healing response. The skin naturally produces new collagen and elastin. Collagen creates the appearance of smaller pores and tighter skin. Collagen builds healthy supple skin. Microneedling has virtually no side effects unlike many other treatments. Microneedling for enlarged pores is one of the most common uses of the treatment.
MICRONEEDLING FOR TATTOO REMOVAL
The decision to get a tattoo is often regretted, as is evidenced by the number of people who seek methods of tattoo removal. For most who regret this decision, the first thought is usually laser removal. Few of these patients, however, realize the complexity of this simple-sounding process. Far from quick or instantaneous, the process of using lasers to remove tattoos can be painful, time-consuming, and expensive. Laser treatment of tattoos can leave scars, while microneedling for tattoo removal does not.
Tattoos that feature shades other than black can be resistant to lasers. Also, some tattoos never fully fade away using this method, while others are exceedingly difficult to treat and require an extensive number of treatments. The typical number of treatments promised for complete laser removal of a tattoo is 5 or 6, but the actual average number needed for complete removal is 15, sometimes more depending upon the client’s health and the size and color of the tattoo.
There is a more effective way to remove tattoos. Lasers have the potential to be effective but wanted to find a way to make the tattooed area more conducive to being successfully treated this way. Combining microneedling with laser treatments can be a good solution.
Directly prior to laser treatments, the area can be treated with a microneedling device which creates tiny micro wounds in the skin. These tiny holes allow for a better penetration of laser light and may help to remove particles of fractured ink through the stimulation of the skin through the wounding/healing process. Ultimately, it is believed that this combination treatment of lasers and microneedling will drastically reduce the number of actual treatments required to completely remove a tattoo from the skin.
The microneedling procedure typically adds around 15 minutes to each complete tattoo treatment. Most patients find the process to be painless and experience minimal discomfort. As with any medical procedure, results vary, but some client will show up to a 60% better improvement in tattoo fading than with laser treatments alone.
WHY MICRONEEDLING ACNE SCARS IS A POSITIVE TREATMENT?
Microneedling punctures the skin, breaking down the scar tissue while promoting regeneration of the affected areas. The tiny needles create a micro injury which enhances the production of collagen and the skin’s own healing response to correct the scarring. Microneedling, creates healthier looking skin without the side effects of other treatments.
HOW ARE ACNE SCARS TREATED?
Severe acne scars do not respond well to over the counter remedies. Laser treatments can help to resurface the skin; however, a side effect can be uneven skin tone. Chemical peels use acid to remove the foremost layer of the skin. Fillers, filling the skin with fat or collagen, cause scars to puff up and smooth out over time. A last result is surgery. A doctor would remove the offending skin and create grafts to replace it. A less invasive, but highly effective treatment is microneedling.
